Hong Kong Stocks Open Higher; Trip.com Jumps 4%; XPeng Gains 2%

On November 4, 2024, the Hong Kong stock market opened with gains across major indices. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) rose by 0.38%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) increased by 0.46%, the Hang Seng Tech Index (HSTECH) climbed by 0.63%, and the Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index (HSCCI) edged up by 0.14%.

Among individual stocks, INNOVENT BIO saw a significant surge of 11.27%. The company announced the termination of its subscription agreement with Lostrancos, reaffirming its commitment to international business. This decision was made after receiving shareholder feedback and careful consideration, aiming to support the long-term development of its strategic goals.

XPENG-W rose by 1.92%. The company is currently facing a lawsuit from steel giant ArcelorMittal, which has filed a complaint with the Unified Patent Court in Europe, accusing XPeng of infringing on its patent EP3290200B1. XPeng responded by emphasizing its commitment to intellectual property and innovation.

Other notable gainers include TRIP.COM-S, which increased by 3.78%, and AKESO, which rose by 2.93%. UBTECH ROBOTICS also saw a significant increase of 2.48%.

In the broader market, GEELY AUTO gained 1.01%, ALI HEALTH rose by 1.03%, and BYD ELECTRONIC increased by 1.38%. On the downside, AIR CHINA fell by 2.51%, and YADEA dropped by 1.49%.
