Fomento Economico Mexicano (FMX) reported Q3 net income Monday of 9.24 billion Mexican pesos ($462.4 million), down from 12.76 billion pesos a year earlier.
Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected 9.74 billion pesos.
Total revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was 196.77 billion pesos, up from 181.68 billion pesos a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected 200.70 billion pesos.
Shares of the company were down 1% in recent premarket activity.
