BlockBeats News, March 27th, according to The Block, Cosmos developers have been working on extending the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) to Ethereum, which is the core protocol of the Cosmos ecosystem.

Cosmos core contributor Interchain Labs Co-CEO Maghnus Mareneck stated that the company has tested IBC transfers from the Cosmos Hub (ATOM) to Ethereum, seemingly aiming to enhance native token interoperability between these two networks.

This initiative is part of the upcoming Eureka upgrade, driven by teams including Interchain Labs, and is planned to be released later this year as part of IBC-go v10.

This upgrade builds upon the vision of developers to establish IBC as a universal standard for blockchain communication, aiming to expand its applicability to major networks beyond Cosmos, such as Ethereum and Solana.
