Shares of Materialise NV (MTLS) plummeted 27.66% in pre-market trading on Thursday, following the release of the company's weaker than expected fourth quarter and full year 2024 financial results and lackluster outlook for 2025.
For Q4 2024, the 3D printing software and services provider reported revenue of €65.68 million, missing analysts' estimates of €71.50 million. While the company's Medical segment continued to grow, with a 14.3% increase in revenue, the Manufacturing segment saw a 13.3% decline due to persistent macroeconomic headwinds in the European industrial sector.
Looking ahead to 2025, Materialise expects continued challenges in the European industrial market, impacting the performance of its Manufacturing segment. The company forecasts full-year 2025 revenue in the range of €270 million to €285 million and Adjusted EBIT between €6 million and €10 million, reflecting increased depreciation charges.
