Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has asked the Competition Commission of India to recall its antitrust report, which found Xiaomi and Walmart's (WMT) India unit Flipkart in breach of competition laws, Reuters reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Any recall of the commission's report could cause a delay in its ongoing investigation, which started in 2021, Reuters said.

Xiaomi argued in its application that the report contains sensitive business data, including its model-wise sales data, Reuters added.

The commission's report concluded that Flipkart's exclusive product launches with Indian units of several smartphone brands, including Xiaomi, violated competition laws and harmed consumer interests, according to Reuters.

Xiaomi and Flipkart did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment, while India's Competition Commission could not be reached.
