West African Resources' (ASX:WAF) Sanbrado operations produced 47,799 ounces of gold in the third quarter, down 6% compared with the prior three-month period due to a slightly lower head grade and recovery, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The mining company sold 49,643 ounces of gold at an average price of $2,493 per ounce in the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with 52,445 ounces sold in the second quarter.
Year-to-date gold production was 155,443 ounces at an all-sustaining cost of $1,248 per ounce.
West African Resources said it is on track to achieve the upper end of its 2024 unhedged gold production guidance of 190,000 ounces to 210,000 ounces at less than $1,300 per ounce.
