Hainan Meilan International Airport (HKG:0357) agreed to form a joint venture with Changi Airports China in Hainan, a Sunday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The JV will exclusively operate and manage some non-aeronautical businesses including retail, catering, leisure, advertising, and guest services among others, at Haikou Meilan International Airport.

The company will own 51% of the JV while the JV partner will hold the other 49%.

The aeronautical and non-aeronautical businesses operator's shares closed over 7% higher on Monday.
