Veea (VEEA) said late Monday it partnered with the Colombian government, AECOM (ACM) and O.N.E. Amazon to use connected technology to monitor and protect rainforest health and digitally connect every hectare in Chiribiquete, Colombia's largest national park and an UNESCO World Heritage site.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The so-called "Internet of Forests" is meant to preserve the ecosystem with detailed monitoring and data collection from ground sensors and cameras installed in the rainforest, uploaded via satellite and processed locally using AI analysis tools.
