Health care stocks were mixed pre-bell Tuesday with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) down 0.3% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) recently up 0.1%.
Tenet Healthcare (THC) shares advanced by more than 5% after the company reported higher Q3 adjusted earnings and net operating revenue. The company also raised its full-year estimate for adjusted earnings per share.
Incyte (INCY) shares were nearly 2% higher after the company reported a Q3 revenue of $1.14 billion, up from $919 million a year earlier.
Pfizer (PFE) shares were up 1.1% after the company reported that it swung to Q3 adjusted earnings as revenue increased during the period. The company also raised its full-year outlook for adjusted earnings per share and revenue.
