Valley National Bancorp (VLY) shares were up more than 3% in recent trading Monday after J.P. Morgan upgraded the company's stock to overweight from neutral, and raised price target to $11 from $10.50.
Trading volume stood at almost 10 million shares against a daily average of around 6 million.
