Kingsmen Creatives' (SGX:5MZ) 71% indirectly owned subsidiary, Kingsmen Projects, and two directors are facing a civil lawsuit filed by JKC Engineering with the High Court of Malaya at Johor Bahru, Malaysia, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.

The lawsuit relates to a 1.9 million ringgit claim by JKC Engineering for work done, along with interest, the filing said. Based on the letter received by Kingsmen Projects, the subsidiary and the defendants are required to enter into a memorandum of appearance and to file a statement of defense.

The company is currently consulting with its legal team and will provide necessary updates in due course, the filing added.

The civil suit is scheduled for case management on Jan. 6, 2025.
