Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 750,000 ordinary shares from the the London Stock Exchange through Barclay Securities for an average price of 6.6689 pounds apiece, a Friday Hong Kong` bourse filing said.
The company plans to cancel the shares, after which the insurer will have 2,663,228,951 shares in issue.
