Sony Group (TYO:6758) has approved a new management structure, effective April 1, to support long-term growth and include new appointments and title updates for representative corporate executive officers, according to Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.
Kenichiro Yoshida will transition from chairman and chief executive officer to director and chairman, while Hiroki Totoki will take on the role of president and CEO, according to its filing on Wednesday. Totoki presently serves as president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Chief Strategy Officer Toshimoto Mitomo, meanwhile, will add the role of representative corporate executive officer. Mitomo is currently executive deputy president, CSO, and corporate executive officer.
Other redesignations and appointments are Tsuyoshi Kodera as chief digital officer (current position), Yasuhiro Ito as chief people officer (new position), Lin Tao as chief financial officer (newly appointed), and Hiroaki Kitano as chief technology fellow (newly appointed).
Sony shares were down over 2% in morning trade Thursday.
