Green Technology Metals (ASX:GT1) said metallurgical test work confirmed lithium production potential at its Seymour lithium project in Canada, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Results validate the production of 5.5% to 6% spodumene concentrate with low impurities from a dense media separation processing circuit, the filing said.
The dense media separation test work produced a 6.1% lithium oxide concentrate with low impurities at 0.9% ferric oxide after magnetic separation at a global lithium recovery of 61.9%.
Preliminary ore sorting testing demonstrated good segregation between spodumene and waste rock can be achieved.
The results support the firm's project development strategy for a simple, dense media separation-only plant flowsheet, the filing said.
The firm is continuing metallurgical tests on the project.
Its shares rose 5% on market close on Wednesday.
