Planet Fitness (PLNT) said Wednesday it has named Bill Bode to serve in the newly-created position of chief operating officer, effective March 3.

Bode is currently the company's division president of US franchise, the operator of fitness centers said.

Additionally, Jennifer Simmons will move into the newly-created position of chief strategy officer, also effective March 3, the company said. She is currently the division president of corporate clubs at Planet Fitness.
