Reliance (RS) reported Q4 non-GAAP earnings late Wednesday of $2.22 per diluted share, down from $4.73 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.74.
Net sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 were $3.13 billion, down from $3.34 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.06 billion.
The company said it expects Q1 non-GAAP diluted EPS between $3.30 and $3.50. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $3.73.
Reliance said its board on Tuesday raised the quarterly dividend by 9.1% to $1.20 per share, payable on March 21 to stockholders of record on March 7.
