News Corp (ASX:NWS) has reclassified its Foxtel unit, held with Telstra Group (ASX:TLS), as discontinued operations as the unit's sale to DAZN Group will have a major effect on the company's operations and financial results, the company said in a Friday US Securities and Exchange filing released to the Australian bourse on Monday.

With the reclassification, the company has dissolved its subscription video services segment, folding the remaining results into its news media division, the filing said.
