MRC Agrotech (BOM:540809) has partnered with Vizexec Transformation to introduce satellite technology-based precision farming solutions to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability, according to an Indian bourse filing Thursday.
The initiative will provide real-time crop health monitoring, optimized pesticide and fertilizer use, yield forecasting, and water resource management.
The pilot project, set to begin in Basti, Uttar Pradesh, India, will involve over 5,000 farmers, with plans for broader expansion, the company said in the filing.
