Electronic technology stocks gained the most on the New Zealand exchange, rising past 14% by midday Monday.
Smartpay Holdings (ASX:SMP, NZE:SPY) shares rose nearly 35% as it received a non-binding and indicative acquisition proposal from Tyro Payments (ASX:TYR).
On the other hand, communications shares dropped past 3%.
Spark New Zealand (ASX:SPK, NZE:SPK) shares fell more almost 4% in recent trade.
