MAG Silver (MAG) said Wednesday that silver production from the Juanicipio mine in Mexico was 4.47 million ounces in Q1, up from 4.45 million ounces a year earlier.

Gold production rose to 10,198 ounces in Q1 from 9,927 ounces a year earlier, the company said.

The company said that for this year, silver production at Juanicipio is expected between 14.7 million ounces and 16.7 million ounces.

MAG Silver has a 44% stake in Juanicipio and Fresnillo owns the rest.
