Rubrik Inc. (NYSE: RBRK) saw its stock soar 5.15% in intraday trading on Tuesday, driven by the company's announcement of a new Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) offering aimed at accelerating secure adoption of generative AI tools.

The cybersecurity and data management company unveiled plans to integrate DSPM capabilities into its Rubrik Security Cloud platform, providing organizations with enhanced visibility and control over sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments. This move addresses a critical challenge in the widespread adoption of generative AI, as organizations grapple with the risks of sensitive data exposure and potential data leakage.

Rubrik's DSPM solution leverages Microsoft's Information Protection (MIP) labeling to automatically classify data sensitivity and identify risks. Existing Rubrik customers can seamlessly enable DSPM within their current environment, reducing the need for disruptive data scans and simplifying deployment compared to standalone DSPM tools.
