Oklo Inc.'s stock surged 19.63% in intraday trading on Friday, outperforming the broader market as nuclear energy stocks rallied amid a recovery in the stock market.
The stock market had been on a losing streak in December, but started to recover on the first trading day of 2025. This positive market sentiment, combined with renewed interest in nuclear energy, fueled the rally in Oklo Inc. and other nuclear energy stocks.
Oklo Inc., a company focused on developing small modular nuclear reactors, saw its stock rise by as much as 7% in early trading. Other nuclear energy stocks such as NuScale, Lightbridge, and Centrus also recorded gains of over 5%.
