Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR) reported quarterly earnings of $4.57 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $4.28 by 6.78 percent. This is a 18.7 percent increase over earnings of $3.85 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $4.14 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $4.23 billion by 2.20 percent. This is a 18.71 percent decrease over sales of $5.09 billion the same period last year.
