The stock of Jack In The Box (JACK) plummeted 5.49% during the intraday trading session on Tuesday.
Jack In The Box announced on Monday that its Chief Executive Officer Darin Harris has resigned from the company to accept a new position outside of the restaurant industry. Harris will remain as a consultant to Jack In The Box through March 14.
The board of directors has appointed Lance Tucker, the current Chief Financial Officer, as the interim principal executive officer effective February 24. Tucker previously served as the CFO of CKE Restaurants Holdings.
