Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) reported quarterly earnings of $1.39 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.36 by 2.21 percent. The company reported quarterly sales of $8.29 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $8.32 billion by 0.39 percent. This is a 2.51 percent increase over sales of $8.09 billion the same period last year.
