Drone maker companies rose. SES AI rose 31%; Ondas Holdings rose 17%; Red Cat Holdings rose 5%.
SES AI will participate at the 2025 CES Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 7th to 10th.
At the CES Show, SES AI will introduce an entirely new AI-enhanced cell for robotics applications. This will be the world’s first battery to contain an electrolyte material discovered by SES AI’s Molecular Universe effort, which is mapping the physical and chemical properties of the entire universe of small molecules suitable for battery electrolytes (10^11 molecules). SES AI will also showcase its high energy density Li-Metal cells for UAM, drones and EV applications at the CES Show.
Drone maker companies skyrocketed recently with SES AI soaring over 525.36% last month. Ondas Holdings, Palladyne AI shares more than doubled in December.
The Trump name and Elon Musk's preference for drones over traditional jet fighters helped send the shares of a drone maker into the stratosphere.
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX criticized the F-35, a traditional fighter. He called the F-35 design "broken" and "the worst military value for the money in history." That helped send shares of F-35 maker Lockheed Martin down 8.2% last month.
Lockheed's loss appears to be a gain for tiny drone manufacturers. Adding to the fervor was news that Donald Trump Jr. agreed to become an advisor to Unusual Machines company. Unusual Machines makes components for all drones, including military ones.
