Shares of Sunny Optical Technology (HKG:2382) surged 5.46% on Thursday, following the company's latest shipment figures that showcased robust growth in its vehicle lens and optoelectronic segments.
According to a filing with the Hong Kong Exchange, Sunny Optical's vehicle lens set shipments jumped 12% year-over-year in October, reaching 8.7 million units. This surge in shipments was driven by rising customer demand for the company's vehicle lens products.
Additionally, Sunny Optical reported a remarkable 121% increase in shipments of other optoelectronic products, suggesting strong momentum in this emerging segment. While handset lens set shipments slightly declined by 1.9%, the company strategically focused on mid- to high-end projects within this segment.
