U.S. Stocks to Watch: Tesla, Li Auto, DocuSign, Ulta Beauty, Rubrik, Semtech, and More

With U.S. stock futures trading higher this morning on Friday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

Tesla rebounded 1.4% in premarket trading after dropping 3% on Thursday. Tesla Motors will make a lower-cost version of its best-selling Model Y in Shanghai, three people with knowledge of the matter said, aiming to regain ground lost during a price war in its second-largest market.

China ADRs rallied in premarket trading. Direxion Daily FTSE China Bull 3X Shares up 6%; JD.com up 4%; PDD Holdings up 2.7%; Alibaba up 1.7%. Officials from the finance ministry, commerce ministry, the central bank and other government bodies plan to hold a press conference Monday on measures to boost consumption.

Li Auto shares slid 3.5% after posting financial results. Li Auto reported net income of RMB 3.5 billion ($484 million) in the fourth quarter, down 38.6 percent from RMB 5.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023. Its gross margin was 20.3 percent in the fourth quarter, compared with 23.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2023 and 21.5 percent in the third quarter of 2024.

DocuSign, Inc. reported fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted earnings that topped Wall Street estimates, sending shares of the e-signature company up 12% in premarket trading. The company said Docusign IAM, its artificial-intelligence-powered agreement management platform, was “driving rapid traction with customers.” Subscription revenue in the quarter rose 9% from a year earlier and billings increased 11%. DocuSign said it expects fiscal 2026 revenue of $3.13 billion to $3.14 billion versus analysts’ estimates of $3.15 billion.

Ulta Beauty, Inc. stock was up 6.9% in premarket trading. Fourth-quarter earnings at Ulta Beauty, the cosmetics retailer, beat analysts’ estimates as net sales fell 1.9% to $3.5 billion but also topped forecasts. Same-store sales rose 1.5% and beat estimates for growth of 0.8%. For the fiscal year ending in January, Ulta Beauty said it sees net sales ranging from $11.5 billion to $11.6 billion and earnings in the range of $22.50 to $22.90 a share, with both metrics below analysts’ expectations.

Rubrik reported a narrower-than-expected fourth-quarter loss as revenue beat analysts’ expectations, and the data security company issued a better-than-anticipated fiscal 2026 outlook. The stock soared 21% in premarket trading.

Applied Optoelectronics, the maker of optical communications products, jumped 59% to $25.27 after issuing a stock warrant to Amazon.com that would allow the tech and online retailing giant to purchase up to 7.95 million shares at about $23.70 a share.

ServiceTitan, the cloud-based software platform, posted fourth-quarter adjusted earnings that topped analysts’ estimates on revenue of $209.3 million, up 29% from a year earlier and better than forecasts of $200.1 million. The stock was up 3.6%.

SemTech jumped 12% after the chip company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 40 cents, better than analysts’ expectations of 32 cents, as revenue rose 30% to $251 million, topping estimates of $249 million. The company said it expects fiscal first-quarter revenue of $245 million to $255 million, compared with analysts’ expectations of $250.9 million.

PagerDuty posted fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 22 cents a share on revenue $121.4 million, beating estimates for earnings of 16 cents on revenue of $120 million. The maker of cybersecurity software also said its board authorized a new stock buyback program of up to $150 million in common stock. Shares rose 3.8%.
