NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. (NNE) stock climbed 5.28% in Thursday's pre-market trading session, following the company's announcement that it has partnered with Thermal Engineering International (TEi) to design and fabricate critical heat exchanger components for its proprietary ODIN portable nuclear microreactor.
The collaboration with TEi, a leading supplier of heat transfer technology to the power generation industry, marks a significant milestone in advancing the development of NANO Nuclear's innovative ODIN microreactor. TEi will develop detailed designs and oversee the fabrication of both primary and secondary heat exchangers, which are essential components for optimizing the reactor's performance and efficiency.
According to NANO Nuclear's CEO James Walker, the partnership with TEi's expertise in heat exchanger technology will help minimize development risks and ensure the ODIN microreactor meets performance benchmarks before advancing to full demonstration and regulatory licensing. The company's technical lead, Prof. Eugene Shwageraus, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration in optimizing the reactor's performance while maintaining the highest safety standards.
