SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) August 17, 2021
Today is National Nonprofit Day: a day set aside to recognize the immense effort nonprofits and charities put into impacting their communities and across the globe. One such nonprofit helping many communities is WeXL. Through storytelling, WeXL uplifts diverse voices to empower future generations.
"Whether it's gender, racial, economic, or neurodiversity, we are all connected across the board through our passion, purpose, and story," says CEO and founder of WeXL, Arabella DeLucco.
"Currently, diversity is being addressed counterintuitively by forcing people into boxes," DeLucco says. "WeXL programs facilitate community conversations. Gathering stories from disparate groups helps us better understand how to create quality content that amplifies the impact of diversity, equity, and inclusion."
WeXL's programs include Boundless Youth Education, Excellence In Residence Fellowship: Neurodivergent Creators, Your Hero's Journey, and WeXL Impact Network. WeXL hopes conversations with communities can answer the question, "How do We eXceL together?" Anyone can become a part of this discovery process.
"You have to figure out what you love to do and use that to serve others. WeXL fostered that in me, and I've seen it fostered in so many young people and people who are trying to get into the media to make a difference," says WeXL's 2020 Excellence In Residence Fellow Gabriella Deyi.
Deyi is now a corporate storyteller at Logitech, thanks in part to her work at WeXL as a Boundless Youth mentor and host of the WeXL original docuseries, American Wellness.
