Skylark to Buy Japanese Cuisine Chain Sukesan in 24 Billion Yen Deal
Skylark Holdings (TYO:3197), a Japanese restaurant operator, will acquire all shares of Sukesan, making the Kyushu-based udon noodle and Japanese cuisine chain a wholly owned subsidiary, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The deal, valued at 24 billion yen, includes all shares from major stakeholders, including Unison Capital Partners.
The acquisition aims to help Skylark expand Sukesan's presence across Japan, leveraging its existing store infrastructure and supply chain. Sukesan plans to open new locations in Kansai and Kanto regions this year.
Skylark expects the deal to generate synergies while preserving Sukesan's unique identity and customer base in Kitakyushu.
