Cordlife (SGX:P8A) unveiled an enhanced processing and storage facility as the company looks to resume cord blood banking activities in Singapore, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Tuesday.

In 2023, Cordlife was ordered to stop collecting, testing, processing, and storing any new cord blood and human tissue, or to conduct new tests after the company was found to have damaged cord blood units due to mishandling.

But last August, the Ministry of Health issued Cordlife a third notice allowing it to restart cord blood banking services under new restrictions after meeting the agency's requirements.

Cordlife said the new facility is equipped with an advanced laboratory monitoring system that will track cryogenic storage tanks and other critical equipment to ensure surveillance.
