China Telecom's (HKG:0728, SHA:601728) mobile subscribers reached nearly 420.7 million in August with the addition of about 1.7 million new subscriptions during the month, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
The telecom company's 5G network package subscribers reached nearly 343 million in August with a net increase of 3.1 million for the month and a cumulative gain of 24.2 million for the year.
The company saw around 730,000 new wireline broadband subscribers in August bringing the total number of the company's wireline broadband subscribers to a little over 195 million.
Access lines in service decreased by 340,000 in August and around 2.6 million for the year bringing the total lines in service to over 98 million.
