The Competition Commission of India (CCI) accused South Korean electronics products manufacturer Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930), China's Xiaomi (HKG:1810), among others, of colluding with e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart to exclusively launch products on their Indian websites, Reuters reported Monday.

The other accused smartphone manufacturers are Motorola, Realme, and OnePlus, the news agency said in an exclusive report.

The CCI's antitrust investigations revealed that Amazon and Flipkart violated local competition laws by favoring select sellers and offering steep discounts, the report said.

"Exclusivity in business is anathema. Not only is it against free and fair competition but also against the interest of consumers," CCI additional director general G.V. Siva Prasad reportedly said in the regulator's Amazon and Flipkart reports.
