Jiahua Stores' (HKG:0602) attributable loss for the first half of the year shrank to 25.5 million yuan from 34 million yuan in the year-ago period, the company's interim report posted on the Hong Kong bourse on Wednesday stated.
Loss per share stood at 0.0245 yuan, down from 0.0327 yuan in the first half of 2023.
The retailer's first-half revenue rose 31% to 207.8 million yuan from 159.2 million yuan a year prior.
The higher revenue was mainly due to an increase in the sales of goods, as well as rental income from the sub-leasing of shopping malls.
