BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) launched its operations in Kenya through a partnership with auto distributor Loxea Kenya, Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday.
The car company's Atto 3, Seal, and Dolphin models will be available in the East African country, Xinhua said, citing remarks by BYD South Africa General Manager Steve Chang at a press conference.
BYD's launch in Kenya is expected to help the country transition to environment-friendly transportation, the report said, citing Loxea Kenya managing director Jennifer Kinyoe.
