Bairong (HKG:6608) plans to expand its share repurchase program and extend the repurchase period until May 31, 205.
The AI technology services company will increase the maximum repurchase size to HK$375 million from HK$250 million, a Monday filing with the Hong Kong exchange said.
Bairong initiated the share repurchase plan on March 25 to repurchase its shares for up to HK$250 million within 12 months. The company has already repurchased 14,823,000 class B shares for approximately HK$134.4 million.
The company's shares were up over 18% in recent trade.
