Manuka Resources' (ASX:MKR) Taranaki vanadium-titanomagnetite mineral sands project was included in the New Zealand government's schedule 2 fast-track list on Sunday, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The country's fast-track approval bill, which includes the list, is expected to be approved into law by the end of the year, the filing said. It aims to speed up the process of building projects that New Zealand needs.

Shares of Manuka Resources rose almost 5% in recent Monday trade.
