Tech stocks were rising Wednesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.9% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 1.1%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index added 0.6%.
In corporate news, Alphabet's (GOOG) Google is facing a potential breakup of its search business by the US Department of Justice, according to a Tuesday court filing. Alphabet shares were falling 2.2%.
Banzai International (BNZI) shares surged past 77% after the company said Wednesday it's launching an initiative to boost its net income.
Reddit (RDDT) shares popped 1.8% after Jefferies started its coverage with a buy rating and a $90 price target.
