0546 GMT - Airbus's delivery target looks increasingly challenging after two months of lower on-year deliveries, Berenberg analysts say in a research note. The European plane maker delivered 50 planes in September, five less than it did a year ago and 11 fewer planes than its five-year pre-pandemic average, Berenberg says. To reach its delivery target of around 770 planes in 2024, Airbus needs to deliver an average of 91 planes a month, a number which is higher than the monthly average reached between October and December of last year and which is also higher than the 85 planes delivered in average these months during the five-year prepandemic period, the analysts say.(pierre.bertrand@wsj.com)
