China International Capital (HKG:3908) received a notice of case filing issued by the China Securities Regulatory Commission over the lender's alleged failure to exercise due diligence for its sponsorship of the initial public offering of chipmaker S2C.

The investment bank said it will "actively cooperate" with the regulator and will perform its information disclosure obligations, according to an Oct. 11 filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Earlier in June, the Shanghai bourse barred S2C from listing its shares for five years due to inflating profits by 12.5 million yuan in 2020.

Shares of China International Capital fell 5% in recent trade on the Hong Kong bourse and dropper nearly 8% in Shanghai.

Price (HKD): $13.94, Change: $-0.72, Percent Change: -4.91%
