TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police parachute team unfurled a banner with a picture of President Jokowi's face across the sky of Mako Brimob, Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, on Monday morning, October 14, 2024. This action is part of the 'Presidential Inauguration Security Preparation Briefing'.

The moment happened when the police personnel were performing skydiving activities. Before opening the parachute, the parachutist collaborated to display a banner with a picture of Jokowi. The banner showed a photo of Jokowi with a thank you message to the leader who has been serving as president for 10 years.

At the same occasion, the team also raised the photo of the president-elect and Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto. It was not very clear from the live broadcast or on-site observation, the writings accompanying the Prabowo banner.

On-field observations showed Brimob forces conducting a series of demonstrations. Such as Paramotor activities, Flypass Drone, Precise Patrol; Women Police Motorcade Unit of the National Police Traffic Corps; VIP Escort; Air and Land Infiltration; Skydiving; and Helicopter Flypass.

On the same morning, President Jokowi was awarded the Loka Praja Samrakshana Honorary Medal from the police. Jokowi was also appointed an honorary citizen of Brimob. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly handed over the honorary medal to Jokowi.

Furthermore, Jokowi also awarded the Nugraha Sakanti honorary emblem to seven police work units during the briefing. The Nugraha Sakanti honorary emblem is an acknowledgment for units within the police force that have contributed and been beneficial for the nation and state.

The Brimob police force once received the Sakanti Yana Utama award from President Sukarno on November 14, 1961.

The seven units that will receive the Nugraha Sakanti 2024 honorary emblem are the Police Mobile Brigade, Police Headquarters Security Force, National Police Traffic Corps, National Police Anti-Terror Special Detachment 88, National Police Criminal Investigation Department, Police Medical and Health Center, and Police Intelligence and Security Division.

A total of 15,000 personnel are deployed by the police in Operation Mantap Brata witnessed by Jokowi this morning. Prabowo will be inaugurated on October 20, 2024.
