The ASX200 has closed up 0.47% at 8,252 points. Once again, the bourse closed within an inch of an all-time record, as buoyant sentiment shows no signs of abating.
Gold stocks were amongst the best performers, as the Gold price maintains last weeks highs and has been US$2658 US dollars per ounce.
Iron Ore climbed 2% higher, on news over the weekend of further Chinese stimulus and this drove the miners higher.
To the sectors, the Materials sector was the best performer, up 1.3%, followed by HealthCare, up 0.9% and Financials, up 0.8%.
The Energy sector was sold off heavily, down 1.25%, followed by IT, down 0.6% and Discretionary, down 0.47%.
True North Copper (ASX:TNC) finished up 10.71% on news its mining and processing activities at the Cloncurry Copper Project (CCP) in Queensland are ramping up. The company is pushing towards production in Q1, 2025.
True North Copper closed at 3.1 cents.
James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY) closed up 75% after acquiring the Independence Gold Project in Nevada. The company is the latest lithium explorer to pivot into other metals following the lithium price crash.
James Bay Minerals closed at 35 cents.
Nickelsearch (ASX:NIS) climbed 6.67% after uncovering more instances of visible copper at its soon to be acquired Mt Isa North project in Queensland.
Nickelsearch closed at 1.6 cents.
Web Travel Group (ASX:WEB) closed down more than 35% in a day of carnage for the stock. The fall follows the preliminary update on FY 2025 financial results of its WebBeds business for the six months ending 30 September.
Web Travel Group closed at $4.53.
Clarity Pharmaceuticals (ASX:CU6) closed down 1% on news of a new CEO and positive guidance from the FDA on its clinical trial in patients with recurring prostate cancer.
New CEO Michelle Parker brings more than 20 years of industry experience, spanning nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography and pharmaceuticals in Australia and internationally.

Lifestyle Communities (ASX:LIC) finished down 2.66% on news co-founder and managing director James Kelly will retire after 21 years of service.
Lifestyle Communities closed at $9.15.
