Salcon (KLSE:SALCON) unit Salcon Engineering secured a deal worth 18.5 million ringgit to provide external water reticulation works for Fraser & Neave's (KLSE:F&N) unit F&N AgriValley in Negri Sembilan, Malaysia.

Works on the project will begin on Oct. 21 and will involve two sections, according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.

The construction of section one is expected to be completed by Jan. 19, 2025 while section two is slated to be completed by April 20, 2025, the utility firm noted.

Shares gained about 7% on Friday's close.
