Image Resources NL (ASX:IMA) secured 5C water licenses for the Atlas mineral sands project in Western Australia, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The approvals will allow the mining firm to carry out its groundwater operating strategy through water abstraction and mine dewatering of the project, the filing said.
Construction in the area started in August, with heavy mineral concentrate production scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, as per the filing.
The company's shares closed down by 1% on Friday.
