Intuitive Surgical said revenue rose slightly in the third quarter after it continued to see growth around its da Vinci robotic systems.
The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company on Thursday posted a net profit of $565.1 million, or $1.56 a share, compared with $526.9 million, or $1.46 a share, for the year-earlier period.
Stripping out one-time items, the company's earnings per share came in at $1.84. Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast adjusted earnings of $1.78.
Revenue rose to $2.04 billion from $2.01 billion, ahead of Wall Street expectations of $2.01 billion, according to FactSet.
Intuitive Surgical said procedures with its da Vinci robotic systems rose 87% compared to a year earlier, while the company's installed base rose 15% from a year earlier.
