St Barbara (ASX:SBM) produced 12,233 gold ounces in the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30, an 18% rise from the same quarter the previous year, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Production was at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of AU$3,905 per ounce, a 14% reduction year on year, the filing said.
The mining firm sold 12,949 gold ounces during the reported quarter at an average realized price of AU$3,733 per ounce, the filing added.
The company maintained its production guidance of 65,000 to 75,000 gold ounces per year at AISC of AU$3,200 to AU$3,600 per ounce, as per the filing.
Production guidance for the three remaining quarters of the fiscal year is at 18,000 to 20,000 gold ounces per quarter at an AISC of AU$2,800 to AU$3,400 per ounce, the filing stated.
