Saia (SAIA) said Monday it is opening three new terminals as part of a nationwide expansion plan.

The company said it opened a new facility in Akron, Ohio, and will inaugurate one each in Bowling Green and Paducah in Kentucky, on Oct. 28.

Saia executive Jared Mull said the additions would help the company reduce transit times and improve freight handling.

Company stock was down over 2% in recent trading.
