Advent Technologies Terminates CEO Gregoriou for Cause

Advent Technologies said on Thursday it has terminated for cause its Chief Executive Officer and acting Chief Financial Officer Vassilios Gregoriou.

The manufacturer of fuel cell systems said it appointed board director Gary Herman as interim CEO, effective immediately, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Gregoriou co-founded the company in 2012, according to Advent's website. He stepped in as acting CFO following the resignation of Naiem Hussain, who joined the company in January and left in March.
