ASMPT (HKG:0522) reported a net profit of HK$23.8 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, an 87% increase from the prior-year quarter's HK$12.8 million, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were HK$0.06, up from HK$0.04 in the year-ago quarter, the filing showed.
Revenue for the quarter declined 3.7% year on year to HK$3.34 billion from HK$3.47 billion.
Looking ahead, the chip equipment maker expects revenue to be between US$380 million to US$460 million in the fourth quarter, marking an up to 3.5% decline at midpoint from a year ago, the company said.
